Executive Summary: Democracy Under Attack Seminar


DemocracyUnderAttack.org is an action-oriented web portal which features the Democracy Under Attack Seminar. The Seminar is designed to acquaint Americans with all aspects of the conflict that we call the US War on Terror.

Our seminar will:

  1. Expose the systematic underpinnings of the current attack on democratic governments throughout the world. Reveal facts related to Islamofascism and its principal weapon, global jihad, as the enemy of the Free World
  2. Educate Americans on the military and non-military weapons that must be marshaled in this war effort.
  3. Equip educators, high school and college students, community leaders and others, with strategies to affect public policy and help combat the enemy and its propaganda.

After a series of attacks that had been virtually ignored, the catastrophic events of September 11, 2001 awakened us to the fact that terrorism was no longer just a Middle East problem. It brought Radical Islam's war against the West (Islamofascism) to our homeland.

The Democracy Under Attack Seminar teaches the differences in world-view between the West and the Islamofascists. It provides powerful data describing the serious intent of a radical ideology to end our freedoms and Judeo-Christian way of life in the Western world. Many terrorist sympathizers are teaching on our campuses, secretly in mosques and openly on city streets, actively recruiting future potential terrorists, delivering the message that the terrorists are justified in their murderous acts.

These sympathizers have made inroads into a gullible news media to the point where a large sector of this media accepts a moral equivalence between the terrorists and us. Accordingly, unprepared students and other citizens are on the defensive. The Democracy Under Attack Seminar proposes ways to combat the growing threat and suggests practical actions to enlighten the public and help them confront the growing hatred and violence against innocent civilians.

DUA is capitalizing on the many resources and materials that we have acquired over the 15 years that we have been working to enlighten Americans and others about the growing threat emanating from the Middle East.

A full Democracy Under Attack Seminar package of materials includes: the textbook, War Footing: 10 Steps America Must take to Win the War for the Free World, written by Frank Gaffney and Colleagues, a DVD Tutorial of the 10 Steps featuring Frank, a Leader Guidebook, Participant Manual, articles, and handouts - including the 60 minute version of Obsession, Radical Islam's War Against the West. Frank's excellent book, War Footing, explains what we as citizens must be aware of and act upon to retain our freedom against the current onslaught of barbarism. The outstanding DVD, Obsession, Radical Islam's War Against the West, clearly and effectively, identifies the enemy through spokesmen, history and current events.

We are actively pursing the translating of the Democracy Under Attack Seminar into different languages. It has already been translated into Polish and Slovakian for presentation at two conferences held in Eastern Europe.
