About Democracy Under Attack
Why Do We Exist?

The Democracy Under Attack Coalition exists because we live in a world where we have a battle against democracy on a global scale.

In America we're outnumbered and it's basically the founders and self evident truth and the Constitution against this idea of progressivism and liberalism, which is a complete rejection of those ideas. But, it's not only in America where progressivism and liberalism is demanding a foothold, throught the world democratic nations are being attacked by those promoting state control and one world government, In other words a "dictatorship", For example, the battle against Islamic Shariah and its "Jihadists" ("holy warriors") is a worldwide plight.

Our History:

As far back as 1995, Esther Levens, the founder of Democracy Under Attack Coalition, distributed 535 copies of the video "Jihad in America" to our elected officials in the Congress seeking to awaken them to the dangers of radical Islam in America. The PBS-produced video, written and directed by Steven Emerson, warned that, if allowed to reign unchecked, Islamic Sharia Law would usurp our American Constitutional Law and our way of life. In October of 2001, Esther also held a Press Conference at the National Press Club featuring Frank Gaffney (Center for Security Policy) and Itamar Marcus (Palestinian Media Watch) among other expert spokespeople. The topic was "Explaining 9-11."

No one could fathom what had happened to America with the 9-11 attacks by young men inspired to establish Shariah Law in America. In fact, many still do not perceive the true enemy to our way of life here in these United States.

In April of 2008, DemocracyUnderAttack.org came online with an original video, Democracy Under Attack - an Online Course for Winning the War on Terror (view here). The video challenges Americans to learn our rich history as well as to face the chief threat to that heritage: Islamic Jihad and Shariah Law. This special website has been created to underscore the ominous threat that has arisen, one that is every bit as lethal as Nazism and Communism. Without awareness and understanding it is impossible to win the global war in which we are engaged.

Today, as this worldwide enemy to democratic societies is engaged in both covert and violent struggle to transform our world, Americans are held hostage to an ill-informed political correctness. DemocracyUnderAttack.org exists to educate Americans, indeed citizens worldwide, who hold democratic values dear - the values of freedom of speech, freedom of religion, equal rights for minorities and the right of security from violent crime. Islamic "Shariah Law" threatens all of these values with impunity and it must be stopped.

Almost 70 years ago, Europe found itself at war with one of the most sinister figures in modern history: Adolf Hitler. When the last bullet of World War II was fired, over 50 million people were dead, and countless countries were both physically and economically devastated. Hitler`s bloody struggle sought to forge the world anew, in the crucible of Nazi values.

How could such a disaster occur? How could the West have overlooked the evil staring it in the face, for so long, before standing forcefully against it?

It took years and an attack on Pearl Harbor for Americans to fully comprehend the extent of our vulnerability. And today history is repeating itself. Almost 10 years beyond the disaster of 9/11 we are only beginning to come to grips with the full extent of the barbarity of our enemy.

Our Current Focus:

A massive campaign is required to address and expose all facets of the global war against Western civilization to establish totalitarian Islamic Shariah Law under an Islamic Caliphate.

The campaign will be designed to counter well-financed stealth and dangerous worldwide activities. It will educate the public, the media, and our government representatives regarding all facets of the war against the free world. Included will be responses to propaganda sponsored by widespread organized efforts that have effectively disguised the major radical ideological threat to our freedom.

Components of this threat that will be addressed include the following partial list:

1. Global Jihad-style terrorism.
2. Lack of vision and understanding by the major US media, resulting in denial and inaccurate and biased reporting, all issues, both historic and current, related to Islamofascism and the rise of the Islamists' agenda.
3. Abuse of women and treatment of "infidel" minorities ("dhimmis") in Islamic society.
4. Replacing Constitutional law with Sharia law.
